The beginning of ThyssenKrupp AG: On November 20, 1811, Friedrich Krupp (and two partners) found a factory for the manufacture of English cast steel and products made from this steel.
ThyssenKrupp Access Corp. begins as American Stair-Glide in 1947 in the basement of a Kansas City entrepreneur's home who developed the Stair-Glide® chairlift.
1953 foundation of dutch company "de Reus". Four years later, the company produces its first chairlift.
1991 From the beginning Lift Able Limited is specialist for straight chairlifts in the United Kingdom.
2000 Dutch company Thyssen de Reus starts the success story of curved chairlift "Flow".
2006 ThyssenKrupp Accessibility BV (Netherlands) introduces Flow2 chairlift, which is one of the most appreciated curved chairlifts today.
2008 Lift Able (United Kingdom) becomes part of ThyssenKrupp Access Group.
Today ThyssenKrupp Encasa Ltd. is a professional partner for local authorities and provides especially straight chairlifts.
20122 ThyssenKrupp Access changes its name to ThyssenKrupp Access Solutions due to the enhanced product portfolio which now comprises passenger boarding bridges, chairlifts, StairWalker, Home Elevators and service lifts for wind turbines.
